Four ready-made bingo cards, labeled A to D, each hold 16 of the same 20 kindergarten sight words. The list includes the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, and does, plus said, here, come, and look. A teacher caller sheet gives a spoken clue and a fill-in sentence for every word, such as "The sun __ hot." for is. The game practices Common Core RF.K.3.c, and the caller sheet doubles as the answer key.

Students spot each called word by sight on their card, across all 20 words, including tricky spellings like does, said, and come.
Four 4 by 4 grids. Each card leaves out four of the 20 words and arranges the rest in a different order, so players do not fill the same rows.
Twenty clues to read aloud, with the answer beside each. Some describe the word ("I am the opposite of stop."), and each one ends with a sentence that has a blank, like "Ready, set, __!"
Whole-class game
Hand out the four cards so neighbors hold different ones. Call the clues in a random order; with 20 clues, most games end well before you run out.
Harder round
Skip the description and read only the sentence, such as "Come over __." Students then rely on context alone, which is closer to real reading.
Pause on does
Cards A, B, and D hold both do and does. The does clue ("__ he like apples?") is the one students tend to mark as do, so check cards after it.
