Kindergarten Vocabulary Fun puts four short word tasks on one sheet. Students match two pairs of opposites (hot and cold, big and small), sort apple, ball, banana, and doll into Foods and Toys, pick the action word for a jumping child, and draw something colorful from the classroom. It lines up with Common Core L.K.5.a, L.K.5.b, and L.K.5.c. The answers page gives the pairs, the sort, and jumping as the action word.

Before Colorful Words, walk the room and name colorful things aloud. Students then draw something real rather than a rainbow.
Act the verbs
Have students act out sleeping, jumping, and eating before they circle an answer. It takes a minute and gets the wiggles out.
Fast finishers
Only four words go into the Foods and Toys table. Students who finish early can add one more food and one more toy of their own.
