A three-page Year 4 worksheet on moving the adverbial to the start of a sentence. An example box shows We went swimming after lunch becoming After lunch, we went swimming. Pupils then rewrite eight sentences with the underlined adverbial at the front, starting with a capital letter and adding a comma. Page 2 asks whether the meaning changes and which version suits a story better. The key gives all eight rewrites and notes for the two open questions. It follows England National Curriculum grammar.
