Prepositional Phrases

Year 3 EnglishPrepositions3 pages

About this worksheet

Prepositional phrases for Year 3, over three pages. A word bank holds eight phrases, such as across the field, under the bridge and into the pond. Pupils add one to each of eight short sentences, from The fox ran to The children climbed. On page 2 they finish four more sentences with a phrase of their own, such as The cat slept and The snail crawled, and underline it. The key gives a phrase for every sentence and four sample endings. It follows England National Curriculum grammar for Years 3 and 4.
