Adding Detail With Prepositions

Year 3 EnglishPrepositions3 pages

About this worksheet

Prepositions for Year 3, over three pages. Page 1 shows a pirate ship at sea with a parrot, a flag, a treasure chest, a shark and an island. Pupils finish six sentence frames, such as The parrot is ___ and The island is ___, with a preposition from a bank of six. Page 2 asks for a short description of the scene with at least four prepositional phrases, and a four-line checklist. The key gives sample answers for both pages. It follows England National Curriculum grammar for Years 3 and 4.
