A three-page Year 1 phonics sheet built around four picture words: boat, star, fish and tree. Pupils copy each word from a word bank under its picture, then pick ch, sh or th to finish two words shown as sound strips. The last task asks them to read one decodable sentence about a fat cat and draw it. Answers are given for the matching and the missing sounds. The tasks sit under word reading in the England National Curriculum.
