Part 2: Count by Ones

Four counting trails start at 14, 41, 67, and 96. Each shows some numbers and leaves gaps, so students write entries such as 16 and 18, or 97 and 99 on the final trail that reaches 100.

Part 3: Counting Challenge

A picture shows ten bundles of craft sticks tied with string, ten sticks each. Students count by tens and choose 50, 80, or 100 sticks, then write what comes right after 89 when counting by ones.

Calendar or carpet time

Chant the Part 1 decade track together before anyone writes. The three gaps at 30, 60, and 90 make a quick call-and-response.

Decade-crossing check

Trails 3 and 4 cross 69 into 70 and 99 into 100. Those two blanks catch most errors, so mark them first when you grade.

Concrete follow-up
