About this worksheet
Five questions, one lesson check, both halves of the 2nd grade money and time pairing (Common Core 2.MD.7 and 2.MD.8). Students read one clock at 8:25 and decide whether Ben arrives at school at 8:25 a.m. or 8:25 p.m., then count a pictured coin set (two quarters, two dimes, a nickel and four pennies) to 79¢. Two word problems close it: Mia's 3 quarters and a nickel make 80¢, which is 15¢ short of a 95¢ sticker, and Caleb keeps 60¢ from a $1 bill after a 40¢ pencil. Question 4's a-b-c structure walks from a total, to a yes-or-no decision, to the exact shortfall.
