The last part reuses the Part 1 data, ending with 8 clips minus 5 clips for how much longer the paintbrush is than the scissors.

The sheet is this standard end to end: whole-number unit counts in Part 1, and the no-gaps, no-overlaps condition tested directly through Sam, Mia and Leo.
The rule sits at the top before any measuring: lay units end to end from the very start to the very end, no gaps and no overlaps.

Question 5 shows Sam, Mia and Leo measuring the same marker with linking cubes. Only Leo, end to end with no gaps or overlaps, earns the tick.
Questions 6 to 8 lean on the Part 1 results: the longest object, the shortest, then the subtraction frame ______ clips - ______ clips = ______ clips longer.

Ask why the paintbrush number is biggest. A student who says 'because it is longest' has connected count to length, which is the point of question 8.
