About this worksheet

A three-page Year 6 spelling challenge in four short sections. Pupils solve clues for silent letter words such as knight, solemn and psalm, then choose between isle and aisle, aloud and allowed, and stationary and stationery. Next they add a prefix or suffix to courage, magic and understand to match a definition. A dictionary and thesaurus section closes the sheet, starting with which book gives a better word for sad. Answers are printed in the tables. It follows England National Curriculum spelling objectives for Years 5 and 6.
