About this worksheet
A Year 6 homophones match-up over three pages. Pupils match six common words, such as dessert and desert, to their meanings, and the first one is done for them. A harder set of eight follows, with pairs like principal and principle, precede and proceed, and compliment and complement. A challenge asks for one sentence that uses both words in a pair correctly. The answer key gives every letter plus two model sentences. It is mapped to England National Curriculum grammar objectives.
