About this worksheet

A one-page rounding check for Year 4, with the answers on page 2. Section 1 gives four numbers to round to the nearest 10, including 1,302 and 4,996. Section 2 does the same to the nearest 100 with 349, 750, 2,451 and 6,083. Section 3 uses the nearest 1,000, from 2,500 to 9,501. How teachers use it

End of the unit

Give it as a ten-minute check once the rounding lessons are done, and mark it from page 2.

Spotting gaps

Look at Section 3 first. Pupils who write 8,000 for 7,499 or 2,000 for 2,500 need another go at the halfway rule.
