About this worksheet
Six riddles ask pupils to name a 3D shape from its faces, edges and vertices. Page 1 gives two or three clues in each box, such as I have 6 square faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices, and a word bank of cone, cube, cylinder, sphere, square-based pyramid and triangular prism. On page 2, pupils write a riddle of their own with three clues, then draw the shape and name it. Page 3 is the key. It follows England National Curriculum geometry for Year 2.
