Hide and Seek: Position Words is a three-part story set in a park, with ten blanks for kindergartners to fill from a 12-word bank. Each part has a picture: the sun and a dog near a slide, a pond with a duck and a frog between two lily pads, and a bench with a bird on top and a mouse beneath. Students choose words such as above, between, and in front of. Inside and outside are the two extras. It fits C3 Framework D2.Geo.2.K-2, and the 3 pages end with an answer key.

Check the frog
On the pond picture, the frog sits on one lily pad, but the key wants "between two pads." Tell students the sentence decides this one, not the picture.
Accept below or under
The fish and the mouse can each take below or under. The key uses one of each, so accept either if the child can show you on the picture.
Hide and seek game
Hide a small toy around the room and have students describe where it is with words from the bank. It is a good warm-up on the day before the sheet.
