Students play the director of a history documentary in this 2-page 5th grade storyboard on the causes of the American Revolution. Six panels run in order from the Stamp Act and colonial protests to the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, Lexington and Concord, and the Declaration of Independence. For each one, students sketch a scene and write a caption with a date. Two planning questions ask how one event caused the next and what message viewers should take away. It supports C3 Framework indicators D2.His.1.3-5 and D2.His.14.3-5. The drawings and captions are open, so there is no answer key.
