About this worksheet
The printing press at the Daily Gazette has dropped a box of words, and students sort fifteen of them before the morning paper goes to print. The word bank mixes because, underneath, Yikes, although, and eleven more. Each word goes into a Conjunctions, Prepositions, or Interjections column. Four follow-up questions ask students to add their own words, write a sentence with all three, and explain each word's job. The 3-page sort practices 5th grade L.5.1.a, and the answer key gives the full sort with sample answers.
