About this worksheet

A three-page Year 5 history sort comparing Athens and Sparta, with an answer page. A museum archivist has mixed up twelve information cards. Pupils place each one under Athens Only, Both City-States or Sparta Only, four in each. Cards include direct democracy, ruled by two kings, military school at age 7 and used enslaved labour. Two reasoning questions follow: which card was hardest, and one new fact for each column. The key explains why enslaved labour belongs under both. It follows the England National Curriculum.
