Twelve words from the Year 5 and 6 statutory list fill a Look, Cover, Write, Check table on this four-page sheet, among them accommodate, mischievous, privilege and restaurant. A handwriting page asks pupils to copy three of the words and a full sentence with clear joins. Three gap-fill sentences end the sheet. It follows the England National Curriculum spelling and handwriting objectives, with answers for the gap fills.
Spelling

Pupils write each of 12 words twice from memory, from occur and necessary to vegetable and conscious, then tick to check.
Pupils copy accommodate, mischievous and environment, then a sentence about an amateur chef cooking a vegetable curry, keeping ascenders and descenders clear.
Three sentences need environment, exaggerate and privilege.
Home practice
Send the table home. Pupils fill one column a night.
Handwriting lesson
Model the amateur chef sentence on the board, then pupils copy it in their best joined writing.
Friday check
Read the three context sentences aloud as a mini test at the end of the week.
