A forgetful author has dropped 15 fronted adverbials, and Year 4 pupils sort them into Time, Place or Manner. The list includes 'Later that evening', 'Behind the door' and 'Like a hungry wolf'. Two follow-up questions come next. The first asks which one was hardest to sort. The second asks pupils to write their own adverbials for a story about a knight and a dragon.
