About this worksheet
A three-page Year 2 cloze on changing the shape of solid objects. Pupils fill eleven gaps from an eleven-word bank, using each word once. The passage explains squashing a bath sponge or dough, stretching a rubber hair tie, bending a pipe cleaner and twisting a wet flannel. The last paragraph adds forces, with push and pull. In the Science Challenge, pupils choose squash, bend, twist or stretch and write a sentence about an object at school. A picture shows two children stretching a rubber band and squashing dough. The answer key lists the gaps in order.
