Three pages on joining sentences for Year 2 English. In the first matching table, pupils join five sentence halves with and, but or or, such as 'Sam fell over on the playground,' and 'but he did not hurt himself.' The second table uses because, when and if. To finish, pupils write one sentence with because and one with when. The first match is done as an example, and the answer key writes out every full sentence. Follows the England National Curriculum objective on subordination and co-ordination.
