Most decimal worksheets isolate one operation. Use this one late in the unit, when the real skill is noticing which operation each problem needs before the pencil moves.

Error-analysis discussion

Section 4 is the discussion piece. The student's whole-number work (56 × 4 = 224) is correct, which is exactly why 22.4 feels plausible. Let students find the flaw before you name it.

Estimation habit-building

Before section 2, have students write a rough estimate next to each problem. 4.8 × 3.5 should feel like about 5 × 3.5, which catches misplaced decimal points on its own.
