About this worksheet

A museum curator has mixed up notes from two exhibitions. On this three-page Year 4 history sheet, pupils sort sixteen statements into Romans Only, Both Romans and Anglo-Saxons, or Anglo-Saxons Only. The statements include straight stone roads, Old English, kingdoms like Mercia and runes carved into wood. Two Historical Detective Questions follow. Pupils explain the hardest statement to place and write one new fact for each category. The answer key gives the full sort and explains why Christianity and pagan gods belong under both. It follows the England National Curriculum.
