With a globe
Show how much of a globe is blue before students start. The ocean description says it covers most of the Earth, and the globe backs that up.
Circle the solids
Ask students to circle the places where water is solid before they write the last answer. Glacier and snow are the two, and the key accepts either.
Melting cup
Leave a cup of ice or snow on the windowsill during the lesson. Students watch it melt and then answer the spring question.
