Free Foundation HASS Worksheets for Teachers

HASS in Foundation starts with the child's own world: who they are, the people and places that matter to them, and how daily life has changed within living memory. These Foundation HASS worksheets cover the three areas students explore in their first year of Humanities and Social Sciences: my personal world, places we live, and past and present.

Humanities can be tricky to resource for five-year-olds, so each worksheet keeps tasks concrete: drawing important people and places, identifying features of familiar places, and comparing then and now. Everything is aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0, with the objectives covered listed against each worksheet.

Teachers use these pages during HASS units, as follow-ups to class discussions and picture-book readings, or as take-home activities that invite families to share their own stories.
